Lachra sits right on the top of the beach and has wonderful views west towards the Isle of Man where we have the most amazing sunsets. It does get very windy so be careful not to leave your stuff out at night as it might not be there in the mornings.
The beach there is called Silecroft and is a surf beach. There are four wet suits there - one for a man, two for 12 year olds and one for a 10 year old. There's sea fishing gear, frisbees, golf clubs, cricket set and so on. The beach is brilliant and really safe - wide, sandy and shallow. There's also a three man inflatable kayak for touring up and down the coast, and for fishing from.
Build a fire at night to cook the mackerel you've caught or the mussels you've collected - no one will mind since its pretty remote.
